SA Unions has operated an Arts Programme since the early 1980's. During this time four Arts Officers developed and managed this initiated, they were:- Steve Cassidy, Kathie Muir, Maria Bamford and Lylie Fisher. The programmes' activities ranged from:- workplace artist in residencies and performances; oral history and visual arts projects; a highly successful series of banner making; through to explorations in new media and information technology.

This site was initiated and co-ordinated by Lylie Fisher and represents 13 of the major arts initiates over this period. The projects explore notions of community cultural development within a trade union context, and the critical industrial, workplace and community issues effecting workers, their families and communities.
