I am 20 years old and I went to the Gepps Cross Girls High School where I was in the special class. I left school in 1990 and went to the Croydon Park College for a 12 week course. This year I have been working as a play group assistant at the Parks once a week on Thursday.

This is a paid job and it is good for me to get more experience and to see what work is like I arrive on the bus at the Parks at 9.30am and begin to set up for the group. It is my job to get out the table and chairs and all the play equipment like the tunnel and the trampoline, which I set p on the lawn outside the e hall.

Then the kids come with their mothers at 10am. We play music, sing draw paint, cut out shapes and play outside. I get the fruit ready for their morning tea and after that I begin to pack everything away at 11.30am. I like the children as well as their mothers and I like painting with them and making things like party hats and airplanes.

I liked taking photos of the play group and looking at all the different shapes. It was fun learning something new.
