Course Description

GENERAL LEVEL 2 HEALTH AND SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE COURSE

(5 days)

 

Target Group

Elected Health and Safety Representatives

 
Prerequisites
Attendance at a Level 1 Health and Safety Representative course.

Course Content

The course complies with SafeWork SA Guidelines on content and covers -

  • Unit 1 : SWSAHSR201A
    Revision of occupational health, safety and welfare legislation
  • Unit 2 : SWSAHSR202A
    A systematic approach to managing occupational health, safety and welfare
  • Unit 3 : SWSAHSR203A
    Hazard management systems
  • Unit 4 : SWSAHSR204A
    Workers' rehabilitation and the return to work process
  • Unit 5 : SWSAHSR205A
    Investigation of injuries, illnesses, incidents and complaints
  • Unit 6 : SWSAHSR206A
    Research, prepare and present a case i support of an occupational health and safety issue
 

Course Fee

Standard Fee $820 (inc GST)

Union Members $755 (inc GST) 

 

The Course Fee includes

  • Participant manual (with copy of the OHS&W Act)

  • Morning and afternoon tea each day

  • Light lunch provided daily (unless regional course)

 

Course Subsidies

Subsidies for Health and Safety Representatives of $50 per participant per day on course fees are available through a SafeWork SA grant for Level 1, Level 2 and Continuing members.

SafeWork SA can advise of the eligibility of your business for a subsidy.

Eligibility categories -

  • small business - up to 100 or fewer employees

  • SAfer Industries

  • High Risk Occupations

  • Regional Industries

Note : Exempt Employers are not eligible for these subsidies 

 

Cancellation

Cancellation Policy
When an enrolment is cancelled the following cancellation fees will apply.  This can be waived if another course date is booked.

More than 14 days before course commencement date = Full refund
Between 7-14 days before commencement date = 50% refund
Less than 7 days = No refund
