Union Coverage
The LHMU covers workers in the hospitality and leisure
industry including employees working in hotels, motels, restaurants, pubs,
clubs, casinos, cafes, catering, tourism, leisure and theme parks.
Property services members include employees in cleaning,
security, private prisons, contract catering, gardening, park attendants, and
lift attendants.
Community and health members include employees in public and
private health, hospitals, child care, aged care, pathology, Aboriginal health,
ambulance officers, teachers aides and enrolled nurses.
Manufacturing and mining members include employees in paint,
plastics, baking, chemicals, tanning, breweries, wineries, supported employment
and mining (in the Northern Territory).
